Thanks to everyone who has written in or commented about the recently datamined item, [Phaelia’s Vestments of the Sprouting Seed]! As if it weren’t enough of an honor to have been mentioned, Blizzard was thoughtful enough to include my as-yet-unborn “Sprouting Seed!” The stats are amazing, and even the crit isn’t necessarily a waste with the upcoming changes. And to top it all off, they’re beautiful, matching the colors of the Tree of Life (plus green)! I’m happy for all the players that will wear them proudly some day. Thank you, Blizzard!
Finally, because so many have asked about it, I am writing a non-Druid-related blog. (Resto4Life has been too much fun to give blogging up altogether.) Focused on my love of Marvel comics – and specifically my long-standing love for two specific characters – the supremely dorky Sugah & Spice blog is small, less frequently updated, and intended to be a much, much, much (much) lower level of responsibility than was Resto4Life. While I doubt the content will be of much interest to many readers, maybe there are a few other comic geeks out there who would be interested in reading something so niche.

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King looming on the “soon” horizon, many players find themselves looking for ways to keep themselves busy. Here are 12 steps to ensure you’re as prepared as possible for stepping foot on the shores of Northrend. (Hint: buy warm boots)
Awww wow..that’s so nice of them to do that! I’ma save up all my dkp..I wants it!
I think there’s going to be a smackdown in many raids between trees over this item. I know I’ll wear it proudly once I get into Ulduar!
It’s not a garlic press… but it’ll do!
Congratulations! This is so awesome of them, and brings a huge smile to my face!
Trust me, I’m interested in that Rogue&Gambit-Blog because I just love them both together.
But as a german I don’t have many people around me to talk about X-Men. Okay, there isn’t even one around to talk with -_- (they all just know the films…)
I’m getting those robes on my DK and wearing them around Dalaran. The sad part about them being pretty is that we’ll never see them on druids because they will be in tree form the whole time.
So sweet! =)
A long-time Rogue and Gambit fan …
… I think I love you even more. <3
Congratulations on the Vestaments. That’s awesome.

Phaelia, I’m so happy for you
This is a lovely tribute by Blizzard, and if Ulduar comes out early enough for me to get my hands on this vest (I’m quitting the game when I get married in June) I’ll definitely wear it in honor of you and your sprouting seed. All the best in life!

That’s so beautiful, Phae! Dang… now I really will have to raid Ulduar, just to get it! Congrats all over again!
Hi Phae! I am so happy Blizzard created this piece. What a great tribute to a wonderful person. We’ve learned a lot from you, and we’ll wear it with pride. And I will cry and stomp my feet if I don’t get it when it drops! OK, OK, I’ll try to be mature about it… but I’m saving my DKP as of now too. =)
Also, congrats on the new blog. My best friend is a huge Marvel fan and although I appreciate comics I don’t love them to the extent he does. Perhaps your new blog will help me see things from a different light! One of his favorite characters is Rogue so I’m looking forward to reading and sent him the link! =)

I like how Blizzard does these little shout-outs to community contributors. Like the gnome in the pet shop in Dalaran (has the name of the owner of a pets of WoW site). I’ll make sure to point out what this is referring to when I see a fellow druid wearing / looting it.
I’ll try to nab one for myself as well, even though I’m of the feral kind.
Oh, hey. I’ve only bought three “figurines” in my adult life – a draenai priest from the WoW range, a 7th Doctor from Doctor Who – and Gambit.
Absolutely my favourite X-Man.

Thanks an awesome tribute to an awesome person! I hope i will lay my hands on these some day !
You will be missed Y_Y Very awesome tribute for someone who has given so much to the community!
I love it when Blizzard does things like this.
You was so kind to me when I first started my blog, Phaelia. You were a source of inspiration, guidance and encouragement and are certainly deserving of this honor. If I were a druid, I’d wear that chest piece with pride.

I got here as quick as I could after seeing the item reference – I was just blown away! I’m glad Blizzard recognised our Phae for all her tireless work and dedication to the Druid community – you will be sorely missed, madame! I don’t think I could have been half the Resto I am without your guidance, honestly. I’ll be picking this up for keeping’s sake in 3.1!
All the best for your ‘retirement’ and luck and love for your family!
I (sadly) am only now visiting the site for the first time, but I just have to say what an awesome honor it is on that epic (OMG!) and congratulations to you (for the lil sprouting seed, as well!
) I look forward to perusing and am only sorry I found you so late!
Take care and best wishes to you!
You have been the inspiration to me and to so many others, Phae. Congrats on your sprouting seed and your new vestments.
In your honor, I have tagged you on my blog for the Honest scrap award which prolly means very little right now, but we miss you.

Phae’s Vestments of the Sprouting Seed, are a garden in full bloom on Argent Dawn!
Council Down today – And a very kind raid leader awarded them to me. Wearing them proudly right now! I explained the providence of the name, and toasted the wisdom of forest, Mrs Phae, and the mathematics behind the words Mr Phae too!
Cheers
Arranum from Argent Dawn
Oh lucky you, you got a freaking LEATHER ONLY item named after you. It’d be cool if it were cloth so the OTHER Phaelia that happens to be playing on the Windrunner server would be able to wear it but, go ahead girl. Good for you, I’m glad you’re getting all you want. Sheesh, I wish they’d release a cloth only helmet for my Warlock but that’s too much to ask since you’ve already gotten your own piece. Have a happy life!
w00t just got this drop on my tree, wearing it with pride
Joining today the growing forest of trees wearing your vestments.
May you have a wonderful time in your family, and one day log on to World of Warcraft again.
And see us healing our friends, carrying your name with us.
I just got this today! I told the raid I HAD to have it cause it was named after my favorite blogger.
One of the other druids wanted to buy it from me but I had already equipped them…not that I would have sold them anyways! Wearing them (ungemmed and unenchanted) in Ulduar right now. I look pretty good.
I must say…I’m now sporting one of these…and they are amazing. =)
Just got these today for my tree druid and will be wearing them with pride. I’ll be the envy of the other trees too i’m sure.
I wouldnt have made it as a tree without your advice from this site so thankyou and all the best to you and the sprouting seed! Got my own sprouting seed on the way for october.
Downed Iron Council this evening, these dropped and I got them.
So happy!
As today was the final day before my current subscription elapsed, I logged into Azeroth (after spending 45 minutes patching), ported to Darnassus, and unflinchingly dropped 4k gold on a set of these for myself. Phaelia can now go into semi-retirement in her own vestments.
Haha! Well done!!!
I’ve been keeping a close eye on the auction house in hopes that I might be able to buy a set of my own… sadly, I’ve yet to see it appear for less than 8,000g on my server! I’ve unofficially renamed it:
“Phaelia’s Investment of the Sprouting Seed”
One day!
I’ll be checking out that Gambit blog.
He’s one of my favorite characters of all time.

OMG ur phaelia?! WoW. The first ulduar gear i got are those robes! I was so excited (ulduar yay! and its lvl 226! ahh!) I remember thinking that the robe was sooooo pretty. And get this, i also thought “phaelia” was really pretty! Later on, i also got “Unwavering Stare” which is a headpiece that puts this yellowish moon on ur forehead. It matched the robe so well and I just had to get a haircut to match! I’m just so thrilled because ive been reading up on Trees for 3.1 for a couple weeks now and i’ve seen this post before, i just never bothered to actually click it. I was more concerned for like healing advice type blogs aka your “Lunar Guidance” page. But now that I click it, OMG!!
A lot of good luck and happy times may u have w/ ur up and coming comic blog and “sprouting seed.”
I really wish u the best of times
I shall look at my druid’s robes with an even bigger smile on my face now
. To a fellow resto druid, an awesome blogger, and a soon-to-be mom! (ay! one day may i have one too!) My best wishes to you Phaelia
Aww Phaelia
Congratulations x2, both on the wee one, and the tribute from Blizz.
Myself had a baby (girl) this March which took us out of WoW for a good 2-3 months. After 2 months of settling back down we are able to get back online and plasy frm 7pm through the even undisturbed. We did think that the baby would be the end of wow, but it seems not to be the case.
It also helps that Tuatha De Danann EU – Khadgar is a family run guild, so they all suppotive

Congratulations on your new baby and thanks for all your hard work over the years.
Congrats! We have another on the way in a month. Time to master the balancing act again.

thanks for the good fortunes.
Ну и что, результат есть ?
Hey Phaelia I was so delighted during raid time this week to receive these vestments. Since first reading about them I wanted to wear them. I told the story of them when I recieved them so everybody would know they were named after you and your unborn baby. They loved this.
How is everything going? Is your baby born?
Hey,
Just wondered if there were going to be any updates soon? I hope so!

I’m at 33 weeks now which means I have a little more than a month and a half to go (due on Sept 2nd)! We are having a boy and naming him Colin. I’ll have to post pictures once he arrives.
Ahh due dates. What a wonderful joke that the medical profession teases parents with. My first child came several weeks early and caugth me a little off guard. Unfortunately that wasn’t possible for the second one.
For a month before my daughter was born, I went into small panic every time I saw my wife on the caller id.

When I started kicking for freedom, the nurse at the hospital, after a not so thorough exam, said something like that cookies were not ready yet and she could go home. She replied: “If this was my first, madam, I’d believe you, but being the 4th I’m pretty confident he’s already coming.”
I absolutely was
Oh wow. I was not even aware that these were named after you! I’m a reader of Averna’s from Nerf this Druid and I saw a post that you closed your blog. Curiosity got the best of me and here I am now! A bit late though
I’m the only druid healer in my guild so when these dropped, I was the lucky one to nab them.
Now, I will wear them with more pride. Thanks for leaving the guides/site up.

I have heard a lot of Rogue and Gambit and found it really impressive too. I feel so happy Blizzard created this piece.
I remember reading about this a few months ago.. I’m hoping these robes drop in Ulduar for me and no one else needs them, so I can keep them for remembering you ^-^ I started reading this blog in BC, and have been following a lot of what’s been put up. It’s all been very helpful
and congrats on the baby Phae
I finally saw these drop the other day and I had to smile a little bit knowing what they were named after
Congrats on the baby!
Wow, a wife interested in MMO’s and Marvel?!
Mr. Phae is one fortunate man.
