It’s patch day! Here are some things to read while you wait for your download to complete.

New Tree Shirts: Stormcrow Wings and Adult Critter Form

wings_shirtThere’s a new vinyl, vector design in the Tree Shirts shop featuring the wings of the Night Elf Stormcrow, depicted in purple and brown and embellished in metallic gold. These wings are positioned on the back of the shirts on which they’re shown.

By request, I’ve also added some adult options for the Critter Form shirts, including a maternity shirt. Note that most (though not all) of these are in pre-set colors because of design limitations.

New Druid Blogs

I’m re-evaluating the way I handle my blogroll. I’m no longer going to provide descriptions for blogs since they often end up sounding very generic – yet writing them takes a huge amount of time – and they don’t typically remain relevant. Druid blogs will still be categorized by spec, and I will continue to remove those who haven’t updated in a month or more, but I need to look at areas where I can save time and this is definitely one of them.

  • Casual Cow
  • Druid Heal
  • Druids Do It on All Fours (French)

I handle my blogroll by letting bloglines handle it and then using it’s little bit of code to propagate my blogroll for me when the page loads.

I sort my blogs as I add them by type and it handles the rest for me and updates dynamically as I add or remove blogs from the list.

It doesn’t hurt that I also use bloglines as my aggregator for all the blogs I read as well however.

@Sass: Yeah, the problem is that I need to use the integrated links management of WordPress in order to deliver OPML listings of Druid blogs for others to subscribe to. I actually try to keep my own blog subscriptions to just a few favorites. Too many and it’s overwhelming, and I long ago resigned myself to being unable to keep up with the hundred+ Druid blogs out there.

Heh, I’m a balance druid now?
    =D

To be fair, I’ve had to put my druiding on hold because our guild has too many druids :(

Expect the druidy aspects of Udder Madness to be back in a month or so ^_^

@Beathooven: I based your spec-classification on your armory profile which lists you as Balance. When you say “druidy aspects”, do you mean Feral? Restoration? All of the above?

Just to let you guys right now, Majestic Dragon Figurine isn’t working correctly (or its been stealth nerfed), and isn’t proccing off of instant casts.

No word if it’s a bug or a nerf as of yet, but if you’re a tree and you’re doing…anything you may want to swap out the trinket for the time being.

    @Phae:
To be honest, I’m still trying to find a niche as a blogger, and this is something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I suppose more than anything else, it’s a personal blog rather than a WoW blog :S
Right now I post whatever I feel like. There’s a good chance that at 80 my druid will swap specs frequently (currently Balance for leveling), although if guild class/spec structure allows my true love is healing. At the same time, while it was initially a Hunter/Druid blog, it now has very little guiding it.
I suppose it’s similar to what BBB would be without the specifically-feral posts.
So having said that I guess at the moment it really belongs in “Other Classes”.

Silly guildies who suddenly started playing Druids in Wrath, causing me all sorts of problems ;)

Thanks for the update on your blogroll. I was inactive on my blog for most of last year, but now I’m back rounding up daily Druid news around the blogosphere.

    @Karmakin:

They fixed the Majestic Dragon Figurine quickly! I saw it ‘broken’ as you report in Dalaran around 5PM, but by the time we ran heroic UK (ooh, uber!) at 9PM, it was working again.

It’s been a rough patch, but kudos to Blizz for fixing at least one issue quite quickly.

@Karmakin: Thanks for the heads up, even if it did (luckily) turn out to be a bug.

@Beathooven: I will move you into “Other Classes” if that’s the category you feel is most appropriate. :-)

@Onedruid: I noticed that when going through my list of Druid blogs. Definitely a novel idea for a blog.

The Sprout(ed) Seed (80)

David
Congratulations! Cute baby!

Tsuki
I’m so late that little Colin ain’t swimming on his mini-shirt anymore by now. And Mr. Phae and the classic “drooling daddy” face, priceless. Grats Phae and family!

Rayvis
First I want to say congratulations on your new baby boy, albeit a little late. As a Druid myself, formerly Resto even, I found this to be pretty awesome. I had my first child in October, also a boy. He just happens to have the exact same onesie that you’re little boy is wearing in the video. It’s my favorite outfit of his because I am my son’s superhero! As a side note, I hope you’re enjoying your new seed. They grow like weeds though and you start wondering...

Snowmaidn
I certainly never looked that good when I sprouted my seedlings. Thanks for all the great advice on this site. Things have changed a lot over the years and 60 was the highest you could go when I last played before this year. I got back into the game again about 6 months ago after taking a 4 year break when I was pregnant with my daughter.

@Terrorpaw: This information is vastly outdated. Notice that the article indicates patch 3.0.8 while the current version is 3.3. The amount of haste needed for resto druids to reach 1 second GCD has been shuffled considerably. I’ve been poking around on this site and I find it likely that much of the information here might be outdated.

Terrorpaw
Not to distract from your information, but this is confuddling to me. Everyone on the druid forums just touts that with CF and GOTEM you should see 735 haste on your character sheet? Are they just dead wrong?

Ck
This is actually really useful – thanks for this! Is it still current and user friendly? I somehow managed to get up to 740 Haste without trying, and even with scrapping all haste enchants and gems – I am still languishing on 723 :(

Ark Inventory (2)

Kengur
I’ve been using this addon since I started playing some over a year now. I can’t imagine wow without it since. To swap bags you can right click the one you wish to free up and select ‘filter’. Then drag all the stuff into another bag. Also you could just swap a bag from inventory to your bank still full of stuff.
