Today, I’d like to share a couple of neat macros sent in by a couple of readers. These have actually been sitting in my inbox for a couple of weeks due to slackerliness, but they’re no less awesome for it!
Vreenash’s Wipe Recovery Macro
This macro was submitted by Vreenash of Dragonblight (US) and can aid in the use of Rebirth as a method of wipe recovery (as opposed to wipe prevention) by notifying the lucky recipient of your combat rez that they should wait until it’s safe to accept the rez:
#showtooltip Rebirth
/stopmacro [nohelp,nodead]
/p =/\= %t has been given wipe protection =/\=
/script SendChatMessage("!!!DO NOT ACCEPT REZ YET!!! You have been give Battle Rez for party wipe recovery", "WHISPER", nil, UnitName("target"))
/cast Rebirth
It may be worth noting that there was a time that I was unable to use Rebirth on a group mate without the dialog poofing if everyone in the party died. Vreenash confirms, however, that she’s successfully employed this macro as a form of wipe recovery, so give it a try!
Tildir’s Cower Macro
Tildir of Moonglade (US) points out that, with Wrath’s change to Furor, a Restoration Druid with 1 point in the ability will instantly gain 20 Energy when shifting into Cat Form. Conveniently, 20 Energy is all that is required by the Cat Form ability, Cower:

This ability permanently reduces your threat by 3474 at Rank 6. The only downside is that it requires you to be within melee range of your target. Nonetheless, it could be useful if used when a mob rockets toward you, especially if the new and improved Shadowmeld is on cooldown.
#showtooltip Cower
/cancelform [stance:5]
/cast [nostance] Cat Form
/castsequence Cower, Tree of Life
The above macro will pull you out of Tree of Life and switch you into Cat Form if you’re in caster form the first time it’s pressed. The second press will activate Cower, and the third will switch back into Tree of Life.
Thank you to both Vreenash and Tildir! I’m a huge fan of macros like the ones listed above!

Great macros, thanks!
And I love the little “wait for it” cartoon. I’ve been in both positions in that cartoon
My guild always called that a ghetto soulstone.
And it’s AMAZING how many people don’t listen and take the res anyway.
A few macros I use (and love)
#showtooltip Master Healthstone
#show Master Healthstone
/use Master Healthstone
It will use what ever size Healthstone I have in my bags, and only takes up one spot on my action bars
This next one is for BG’s
#showtooltip Bangle of Endless Blessings
/use Bangle of Endless Blessings
/cast [target=player] Innervate
As I have insain mana issues in BG’s (never have mana issues in PvE but PvP gear has no spirit so).
As I do use Lifebloom alot (80% to 90% of my healing on charts is LB) and I use the Essence of the Martyr the following one rocks, pops Essence of the Martyr when ever it’s cool down is up
#showtooltip Lifebloom(Rank 1)
/use Essence of the Martyr
/cast [mod:alt,target=player][]Lifebloom(Rank 1)
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
As I am an herbalist, this one is my oh shit button
/use Fel Blossom
/cast Barkskin
Some times in very long fights I might need to innervate myself (but that is when the fight is very long, and we are just learning a new boss) and I don’t want to innervate my target instead of myself
#showtooltip Innervate
/cast [target=player] Innervate
Yes that requires me to have innervate also my bar incase some one else needs an innervate, but the use of that last macro does justify it for me
For mana pots
#showtooltip Super Mana Potion
/use Cenarion Mana Salve
/use Bottled Nethergon Energy
/use Crystal Mana Potion
/use Auchenai Mana Potion
/use Mana Potion Injector
/use Super Mana Potion
As they are on cooldown of 2 minutes only one can be used, and I can order how I want them used, and then this will use the first one that is usable, and only requires one mana pot icon on my action bars (yes it generates many error messages)
I would like to clarify that, even when a Tauren’s melee range is 8 yards, in cat form it’s 5 yards anyway. That has funny implications, like that when you switch forms you suddenly see the mob stepping a bit closer to you.
@Shawn: Me too; it’s so frustrating when that box poofs!
@Sass: On the bright side, I guess they pay for that mistake with double the repairs.
@Drun: Oh, those are great. I especially like your mana pot button. That would free me from having to use Autobar (a huge memory hog) and save me some buttons, too. Thanks for sharing! I actually do the same thing with my EotM and Lifebloom macro.
@Fap: Thanks for the clarification! I’ve removed the “yardage” listed since it’s the same for both.
