@Luwak: Wow, great investigation. I've sent an email to Tangible to see if he can confirm or deny the idol switch. Thanks!! :-)

I discovered a similar issue today and narrowed down the cause, which may be related through some macros/addons this person was using.

When I changed my idol either to or from the pvp idol that altered the final heal on my lifebloom, it reset the final heal to the base amount. If I started with, say, harold's rejuvenating brooch and switched to the pvp idol during the hot's duration, the final heal would be 705 (700 + the 105 from the merciless idol). If I did the reverse and switch to the brooch idol, it would heal for 600.

Ask your friend if he was switching idols while it was ticking?

Note that the bug did not affect other people I cast lifebloom on. If I cast lifebloom on another person and switched idols as above, it would heal for the intended amount. I did not get a chance to test this with another druid lifeblooming me, and then me switching my idol to see if it reset the final heal amount.

I also did not check and see if refreshing the lifebloom stacks after changing idols would restore the final heal amount.

I did, however, submit a bug report.

@Colonsay: Not a bad hypothesis, but unfortunately, Tangible was able to reproduce the issue in Zangarmarsh where there aren't any Sunfury to cast Spellbreaker. :-(

Maybe this is caused by the Spellbreaker debuff? http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=35871

@Farahima: I don't think Tangible has tested it on others, but it would be worthwhile to do so. Good point.

Wait...is the glitch happening when the druid herself/himself is auto-attacking and the lifebloom is casted on herself/himself? Or can the glitch be reproduced when lifebloom is cast on another person who is auto-attacking? Is this affecting the heals my melee dependent targets are getting?

@Phae: Just saves a gcd. Most often I'll use moonfire 1 as well, but when pole dancing why not :)

Actually this might be an issue for me. On some fights, Brutallus, and the demon phase on kalecgos mostly, I melee the boss to get some JoW mana back, and in Brutallus case every bit of DPS helps.

I'll have to test this out, cause I use the LB bloom for the raid AoE damage going on. Have you tried it in tree form? :/
