Re: #3

I had a friend who had played a feral druid all through 1.0 and through most of TBC. When his guild got to MH/BT, he respec'd to restoration and...well, the default hotkey for flight form becomes the one for tree of life. He would regularly leap from the Aldor Rise and, by memory, hit Ctrl+F5. Splat.

He quickly coined this mistake "planting". ^.^

@Saresa: The monocle is actually the item I've gotten a couple of times (and saved on different characters because it looks so cool). Good luck with your crocodile. :-)

@Bolshevism: I can't say that I miss the brutality of EverQuest. I was always so terrified of dying in that game, and that part wasn't something that I enjoyed. I can remember levelling up to 51 in North Karana killing griphons and hill giants because I was too scared of dying trying to find my way through Sol B to get to a group. I can remember the first day I played WoW and discovering that you could drink water to restore your mana and thinking "OMG this is so OP! It's so getting nerfed!" That was the kind of mentality that EverQuest instilled in its players. ^_^ If it's too convenient, fun, or nice, it's clearly not making the cut.

@FB: MeefMeef!! Good to see you again. =)

@Awlbiste: I didn't say we *brought* 40 people to Scholo. ^_^ I said it was back in the beginning where there were no limits. I imagine we probably had 20-25. And we didn't wipe on Gandling. We wiped on one of the trash rooms. Good times!

@Zackoria: Sounds like you have more experience in BWL+ than I do. I only went through once, though it was a similar situation with a group of experienced, geared players. I was incredibly lucky though. The Stormrage tunic dropped, and no one else needed it! P.S. - A Rogue? Ew!

@Abagoo: Clearly, we are overwhelmed by your awesomeness, Abby! =)

Your Alligator is the bomb, I'm trying real hard to get my fishing up to get one too. And getting Gruul down did rock, even though I think I joined the guild about three weeks before we did, my awesomeness must have tipped the scales!

I loved number 9. Good old Oddmole. :)

One of my top WoW memories was pre BC when i had just got my rogue to 60 about a month gone and i just got into my first raiding guild a week ago and not expecting any invites being in blues i was astounded to recieve a whisper asking if i wanted to come to BWL because they were short DPS. Cleared up to Chromaggus we killed him and then went on to Nef. Though we didn't down him that night (we got him down the next night) i really felt like the little gnome i was in blues just coming in to my first 40 man in WoW. Nef's room is freaking huge to a gnome.

The next night, the rogues are the first ones called, we all die in front of him and sit there for 25 minutes watching the fight. Through the entire 25 minutes i was never bored watching, getting more excited as he finally went down.

40 people and you wiped in Scholo? Even an accidental pull and the bad gear of the time... my mind is boggling. Unless I misread and you didn't actually have 40 people. In any case, Scholo was insanely hard back then.
