Resto Druids rejoice! Today’s patch notes for Patch 2.4.2 do not include the proposed change to Natural Perfection which would have singled it out as the only critical-strike mitigating talent to have diminishing returns as Resilience increases. A big thank you to reader Joshua for pointing this out this morning!
In another surprise, Feral Druids will be relieved to know that, while Scare Beast has had its range extended to 30 yards, it will retain its 1.5 second cast time. Thanks to reader Jaegor for pointing this out below!

Confused about what gear is for resto and which is for balance after the changes to spellpower, spell hit, and spell crit? Guest author Graylo of Gray Matter graces our glen with a guide to gauge the gear guaranteed to gain glory and greatness!
They probably realized their blatant view on statistics couldn’t justify nerfing this ability for Druids alone while other classes with the exact same mechanic weren’t. Surprised they realized it though, they aren’t exactly the guardians of morale (note: Scare Beast and Ferals)
FYI, Scare Beast had its range buffed to 30yds, but maintains its 1.5s cast time.

This was confirmed by both Eyonix and Nethaera on the forums to be an intentional change. There is no intention of making Scare Beast an instant cast on Live Servers.
Given the scope of players as well as the time frames, can you come up with a better method of determining changes or game dynamics?
@Sorayn: Are you asking me a question or is that hypothetical? I personally find it odd to try out a change on the PTR, rollback a portion of it, then release it to live without retesting. I can only assume they retested it internally, at the least.
