@MBB: See, in my raid I get tells from rezzers "Wth? Why did you get rezzed first?" Your game sounds much more complicated, especially when drinking. Also, your Gravatar looks delicious.

Whenever we wipe in BT there's a fun game of everyone targeting the ressers and cycling through them to see who they in turn are targeting for resses. When I'm ressing, I like to see how many ressing-people the dead person I have targeted have to go through before they get to me. (As in 'Oooh, he picked me on the first try' or 'Nope, Elen's busy ressing Chiara, nope, not Gomez, he's taking the paladins one by one, nope, Mires is out of mana and isn't ressing anybody right now, ah there you go, you found me!')

Yes I have odd hobbies, why do you ask? >__>

@Brandon Tilley: I'd say that's a pretty good rule to observe. :-D

@PugnaciousPriest: I generally see other rezzed rezzers sit down to drink to full so they can rez without stopping. Maybe it's better to have people rezzing in shifts anyway. But I can see how it would be irksome. ^_^

@Crythia: Grim is going back Fury soon... I actually didn't realize he was Arms until last night.

@Aurik: AH-HA! I did not know that! I will adjust my list accordingly. Ty, sir. And, as you probably can tell, I too would love to see an out of combat rez for me ... well, and other Druids too, I suppose. ;-)

@Auryann: I have never known the pleasures of rezzing people after a wipe. /jealous I generally alt tab and browse my reader until I hear the rez box pop up.

@Ermengol: Auryann and I are guilded together, but it's been rare lately that we've been in the same raid at the same time. So, were items of a Restoration Druid nature to drop, there wouldn't be too much competition for either of us (although we're usually pretty good about passing to each other when it's a more signficant upgrade for one of us). Of course, that would require Resto Druid appropriate items to DROP which, of late, they have not.

@Dyera: That signature actually has special signficance. The Drunken Priest referred to in my address is an awesome guy that I've been guilded with and raiding with for more than 18 months. About 6 months ago, he asks over voice chat "How are you specced, Phaelia?" to which I could only think to respond, "I'm a Tree. I'm standing here as a Tree. How do you think I'm specced?" My rezzes have a link to my blog in them! How can someone mistake me for anything BUT Restoration! :-D

@Dimitris: Our sometimes-Arms-sometimes-Fury Warrior does incredible DPS. He doesn't have an aggro dump though, so I anticipate having to throw him HoTs at the beginning of most fights so the tank can establish aggro over him. And, yes, he often gets my battle rez because I can see by the meters how much of a contribution he's making. GREAT point about TK. :-)

@Dammerung: Stale and Dru explains things well in the comments below yours. Basically, a rez on a cooldown means you can't pick up more than one person after a wipe and so are likely to reserve it for an "emergency" when someone dies during a boss encounter. I was so happy last night when my Rebirth allowed us to complete an attempt on a ZA boss last night (the one with all the friends).

@Tiv: LOL ... I have a Shaman friend in my guild who complains quite vociferously to me when Warriors are rezzed before she is. Half the time I end up sending tells to the people doing the rezzing to get her up before they cause her an aneurysm. And great point about having at least one tank up early on.

@Evil Sheep: Ouch! I'm happy to say that I've only PUGged once, and that was a Deadmines run on an alt character. That was enough of an experience for me to NEVER. DO. EET. AGAIN!

@Dave: Oh my ... I'm not sure what to say about that. LOL.

@Rhoelyn: You are, of course, right. Drinking while raiding? Inconceivable!! >.> <.<

@Doomilias: To poo, no doubt. And then blog about it afterwards!

@Jazzy: I wouldn't mind rezzing someone at the end of the raid, but only with Rank 1 (for which I carry reagents). 50 silver is a LOT of money when you consider your average repair bill. Last night I went through 6 acorns. /cry

I like using my Rebirth at the end of the night when the raid is done and we just wiped on a learning boss. I usually go for the main tank/raid leader out of respect (and i feel bad for those plate wearer repair bills).

great post! seems like common sense (and it's the pattern I tend to follow when I'm playing a rezzer), but it's mind blowing how often I see the tank get the first rez ;)

@Stale, It's 20 minutes now. People seem to forget that a lot, even other druids. Every time my feral fiance has to rez he says, "oh, whoa, it's 20 minutes now." This has happened no less than three times now. I happen to really notice the difference.

@ Dammy, Druids get 1 rez every 30 minutes... whether it is in combat or out of combat. It also requires mats.

If your priest is drunk while raiding, I would worry that you have bigger concerns than a stupid rez order. >_> Or is it one of those "Drunken Master" prodigy priests who can't heal for crap if he's sober?
