Nasirah of A Tale of Two Druids has recently completed a four five six-part series on pre-Karazhan and Karazhan-level Healing gear, both cloth and leather and including tradeskilled items. This is an incredible resource for any Resto-specced Druid approaching level 70 or for a Feral Druid making the switch to a healing role. I know I’ll be directing questions of this nature to these guides!
- Idols, Weapons, and Off Hands
- Cloaks
- Head and Shoulders
- Chest, Wrist, Hands
- Necklaces, Rings, and Trinkets
- Waist, Legs, and Feet
Thanks, Nasirah!

Wondering how the new Inscription tradeskill will affect Druids in Wrath of the Lich King? View the full list of currently available and datamined Glyphs for Balance, Feral, and Restoration Druids here!
Well thank you, Phae! Two of those articles (all the weapon slots & accessories) weren’t nearly as complete as the others, making the jump from quest rewards to Karazhan with little in between. I’ll be filling out those lists sooner rather than later.
Thanks again for the mention!
Similarly, this information is also available on WowWiki, just search BC leather healing gear or cloth BC healing gear (which you can get to from the leather article).
ETA: link.

For the weapons loving the mace that drops from Capacitus in Mechanar along with an off hand. Used the mace from the Ring of Blood quest in Nagrand until I got this one. Had a few peeps that use the staff from 2nd boss in SV.
Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t seem to get the Head and Shoulders link to work, it bounces me back to this blog entry.
Thanks for the info! It will be extremely useful to our guild

@Nasirah: NO U (thanks
)
@Dru: Oh, cool. I hadn’t seen those before.
@Leighbra: Fixed! Stupid misplaced closing quotation mark.
@Ailetha: Not sure what’s wrong but I don’t think it’s necessary to be that rude. If you have a problem with something, I encourage you to shoot me an e-mail. As it is, I’m quite confused about why you posted what you did.
For healing weapons The Essence Focuser is good as a healing/regen weapon, I have +20 Spirit on mine, and switch to it and the netherwing quest offhand after using up my mana from my staff (forgot the name it’s a Shadowmoon valley reward, the giant glowing arrowhead). This gives me a ton of regen and decent +heal for pre-kara. It’s also usually easily available on the auction house for 100-200 gold. I replaced my ring of blood mace with this switching strategy (which I find doesn’t work for heroics since you don’t have a global cooldown to spare!:) )
It’s just got no stats which is why I use it for regen only.
