Phaelia Innervator

Today I am both honored and excited to have a brand-new UI addon to share with you all, one developed by long-time reader, Nebelmond of Die Silberne Hand (EU). Entitled “Innervator”, it’s designed to help you know when it’s appropriate to first use your Innervate. It gives both an auditory and visual warnings (via Scrolling Combat Text and by flashing the edges of your screen green) and takes into account the following, user-specified variables:

  • The additional Spirit you expect to have once you’ve activated Innervate. This might be from triggering your [Bangle of Endless Blessings] or from using an addon such as Evocation 2, but remember to consider the Spirit that’s lost from a weapon you replace if performing a weapon swap..
  • How much mana you anticipate spending throughout the course of your Innervate. So if you expect to cast 10 more Lifebloom during the 20 seconds you are under Innervate, you would enter a value of 2200 (in caster form).

I’ve been using this addon since Nebelmond first created it, and it has made a tremendous difference to my playstyle. I normally don’t think to use Innervate on trash mobs, but having this notification reminds me to do so and means I can keep going while the other healers are running out of juice in places like The Eye. It’s also been responsible for less downtime during Heroics. All in all, I think this addon may quickly become one of the “must haves” for a Resto Druid! Thank you, Nebelmond!

Great article and cool mod. I’d be curious to hear what other people are setting as their value for anticipated mana use.

Thank you for featuring this! It is a wonderful AddOn to have for any Druid I think. It also reminded me to get Evocation2. ;)

At first glance i thought this an addon more tailored to druids who depend more on innervates. At a second read it actualy looks very promesing thouge. I admit i dont use innervate as much as i should. Being an ex rogue i should know by now to utilize ALL my cooldowns to maximum potential >.<, so i think this addon will be very usefull. Thanks Phae!

I downloaded this before our Vashj run last night. I really like it. We still have not downed her yet but mana was flowing very nicely.

I’m glad everyone is as excited about this addon as I was/am! Thanks again, Nebelmond!

@Idahoe: I have guild names turned off. I’m in Aegis Hestia over on Scarlet Crusade. They’re a great bunch of people, many of whom are RL friends living here in town. :-)

I haven’t really tried the addon out yet, but I was wondering something. I heard that in an upcomming patch, the mp5 from spirit will be cranked up. Thus making Innervate even better. How soon will this be taken into account in the addon. Are you (Nebelmond) keeping an eye on the PTR?

@Maximvs: Yes, I believe that Nebelmond is in the process of updating this addon to account for the revised mana regeneration formula. =)

Phaelia’s Vestments of the Sprouting Seed (45)

Hey Phaelia I was so delighted during raid time this week to receive these vestments. Since first reading about them I wanted to wear them. I told the story of them when I recieved them so everybody would know they were named after you and your unborn baby. They loved this. How is everything going? Is your baby born?

@alan sounds like a cool idea, maybe like the little pikmin things with a huge army of ants doing battle for you, too bad it would prolly be too much for others processing to have 5 people in a raid that had 100 pets each running around fighting.

Armor Pen has been updated, and it is now over powered…Stacking this is now the best way to drasticly increase your dps, don’t go out of your way to get it, most uldar feral gear has a healthy amount of Arm. Pen. As well stacking some AP gems is very usefull.

Our bear friends are relevant soakers due to HP they have, but lack of avoidance (except of dodge of course) makes them harder to heal. But at least it means less overheal :-) Pallys are great trash tankers but might face problems with spellers due to OOM or just a lack of spell defend abilities. If your group is about to kill raid boss with some spell abilities, high constant melee damage and bleed/spell resistances better get decent warrior.

Hi, great post and good resources, but could you possibly correct the link to wowmodelviewer.org as it’s missing the wow. The domain you are linking to is a spamvertising domain with popups galore which could possibly end up being wholly inappropriate. Ta! Everwraths last blog post..50 Mount Achievement
