My good friend Siha of Banana Shoulders has come up with a good idea: a weekly topic shared against WoW Blogs. Even WoW Insider is playing (even if it didn't link any of the other participating blogs). This weeks topic:...

The way to have an undead toon that has an original look is to o take the one that has his jaw ripped off and his tongue hanging out on his juggular. For some reason ppl dont like that one. : )

I dont think i could give up my tree jumping ways. It was actually funny when i respeced feral for a heroic bot not too long ago and while i was tanking one of the first comments over vent was "And you still jump constantly!". What can i say? I learned to love the space bar when i used to play my old rogue.
One of these days i want to get my priest or pally alts up to max level and try out a new style of healing just for the experience, but i dont think i could ever stay away from my druid for very long. :P

The reason why Blizzard cut out the elbows/knees in armor and show the spine is to keep that rotting feeling a part of the charecters. I could live without the whole spine sticking out since it dosent even make sense. As for in game, i think cutting the elbows out of the robes is just a fashion statement. I cant think of why an undead warrior do the same thing... I just chuck it up to the crazy horde (im biased glory to the allience!). =P

Amen, Sister! I fought going ToL until I was level 68 and was all into downcasting HT (I was young and stupid.)Once I finally did get ToL, it was like playing a different character, which I have, of course, fallen in love with. In fact my love of HoT healing has lead to a serious lack of alts! I have never once felt that keeping multiple stacks of lifebloom up is mind numbing. Despite addons, I still count my cast rotation in my head and find it a bizarre type of meditation.

@Nasirah: Exactly. I'm actually levelling a new Priest (a Draenei) up right now, but she'll probably end up Disc of Shadow-specced. I jokingly refer to her as my "heal bot" in my guild notes.

@Tabithy: Hey, I love your site. It's one of the few WoW-based LiveJournal blogs I've seen, and I can't believe I didn't spot it before now. I'll blogroll you soon!

@HJ: Shush you. And I think she's probably still anorexic looking, regardless of her phat Arenas gear!

@Addie: You make an excellent point - I never thought of it like that! One thing I never understood was why undead insisted on cutting the elbows out of their robes. It wouldn't have been so bad if my robes had covered my "open" elbows and my spinal cord. /shudder

Hey! Dead chicks have elbows... *giggles* it's the flesh that's missing - so you can admire that bone structure up close and personal like.

I have a pally and a priest still stuck in the 20s. >.> and a shammy under 10 (on her third re-roll and STILL under 10)

#1 I can't believe I am reading this site and #2 Don't diss the priest. She definitely did have a unique face and currently is in the best shape of her WoW life!

"There were a whole host of reasons I didn’t enjoy that character (greasy hair, having the same face as everyone else, lack of elbows), but I also found that the style of healing that Priests had didn’t suit me as well as that of Druids."

Oh, I know that feeling! There's something very enjoyable and different about healing as a druid. I did almost the opposite thing you did: started out as a horde priest, rolled an alliance druid and then eventually, started a new horde priest (with elbows!) after TBC came out. Shooting off lifeblooms left and right as you bounce around as a tree is so much fun. I love healing as a priest, but I sure miss doing that sometimes.

I love our healing style as well. I'm convinced that I'll never be able to seriously play any class that can't heal to some degree, but I don't think I could ever commit myself to healing full-time with anything but a druid.
