I'm not really sure what would have changed from S2 to S3 to have caused Druids to do worse in 3v3 and 2v2 (where we really shone last season). The 5v5 is spot on considering the most popular setup was 2345 warlock. I would probably say that the under-representation of druids is partially because of the lack of druids in WoW in general.
