Phaelia Arena Class Breakdown Statistics

Realm History, a site which aggregates a variety of population data for all realms in the US and EU, is providing a breakdown of Arena team population by class, aggregating by bracket and by teams ranked 1850+ and 2200+. Surprisingly, Druids are doing very poorly so far, even in the 2v2 bracket in which we have generally excelled. It’s likely that these numbers will shift around as different team compositions “settle out” into their more-or-less predestined ranges (since everyone’s been thrown into the same pool, so to speak, Druid teams facing problem matchups may see their progress halted until those teams move out of their range). Definitely a set of statistics worth watching over the coming weeks and months.

That’s actually very interesting. The 5v5 is spot on considering the most popular setup was 2345 warlock. I would probably say that the under-representation of druids is partially because of the lack of druids in WoW in general. Even after the great changes in BC, druids are still, like always, one of the two least represented classes in WoW http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census.php?serverid=-2&factionid=-1&minlevel=60&maxlevel=70&servertypeid=2
What’s interesting though, is how shamans switched places with warlocks for the least % spot. I guess warlocks are still flavor of the month, or year, after all the nerfs.

You’re probably right about the underrepresentation being due at least in part to the smaller Druid population, but these numbers do seem to indicate underperformance relative to last season. I’m not really sure what would have changed from S2 to S3 to have caused Druids to do worse in 3v3 and 2v2 (where we really shone last season). Let’s hope that things flush themselves out over time. =)

Hey, Stormwalker! Great to hear from you! Our little sprout is growing fast, but don’t call him “little” when he’s around or he’s sure to tell you “I a little bit big!” :-)

Stormwalker
I…I…kinda miss you and your Druidic writings of old. Good to see you’re still around, busy with RL. The little sproutling looks a little bigger now! Regards, Stormwalker, of old.

Over two years later and this is still relevant and so very helpful. I hope you are having a blast with your little sprout, who’s probably running all over the place now. =D

Hi, Too bad this blog is no longer maimtained. Thanks for you post though. I wanted to address the issue of lefties. I am on, and use the N52TE. I use a trackball with my right hand and the n52TE with my left, no problems.
