We have random parties, events, BBQ’s at least once per season. A few of us grew up together, those that didn’t went to college together, or are related, married to, brother-in-law or involved with each other somehow. So even they guys that moved away after they graduated still come back home at least once a year for a gathering. We’re debating on ice skating or something for the Havoc Holiday Event…my only issue is can you imagine a bear on ice skates?

Regardless of horrid wipes, ninjas, boredom, or whatever else, the social aspect of the game always keeps me coming back.

@Travis: Yep! Many of us live in Salt Lake City, although we did have guests from as far away as Iowa (they drove) and a couple from Pocatello, Idaho came down, too.

@Leiandra: I wouldn’t say that necessarily. A few years back, about 15 memers of my guild (with members all across the U.S.) met up in Las Vegas for 5 days. And that is where I met my now husband. =)

@Lake: That is so awesome! And I’m not touching the “7-8 burly Canadian guys” thing … although it’s tempting. ^_^

Very jealous, Phae – our guild is mostly Australian, but what isn’t Aussie is from Victoria BC, Canada. We’re all super close – but apparently we’ve got a group of 7-8 of them coming out in the middle of next year!

It’s certainly going to be interesting. >.> Now…how does one find somewhere for 7-8 burly Canadian guys to sleep in a little apartment?

Now that’s cool. And I’m only slightly jealous. My guild is just way too spread out for that to ever happen. We’ve got people from New Jersey to Australia and everywhere in between. But, yeah… it’d be fun, for sure.
