I’m so glad they’ve worked out the problems you experienced; I can’t imagine how frustrating that would be… oh wait… I’ve used the official forums, so yes I can! Blogger now periodically automatically saves the content of your post as you work, not unlike GMail. I love that feature!

@Kestrel: Yeah, I think I know the comments you’re talking about. Although it does have word verification to prevent spamming, I would like the ability to ban by IP address (although I’m not sure if I would use it on the person in question; he does have a right to his opinion, even if his opinion is dumb =D).

(After having managed a huge game-oriented message board for some time, I’ve had my fill of dealing with trolls; anything that helps me avoid them is a Good Thing.)

I started public blogging on Blogger. There was a period not so long ago when the comments were constantly down, and when I’d finish a post (you know how long mine are) only to see it crash and burn – day after day. Eventually I got frustrated and left.

It’s stabler now. Just… once burned I won’t come back.

I started on Blogger and was, like Ego, disappointed by the lack of customization and the interface was not intuitive enough for me. I only have one beef with wordpress, I’d like to be able to reply to comments from the dashboard. Interesting theory… made me laugh

@Kinzlayer: Glad to be of help! Be sure to let the people you would have otherwise killed know that they have a World of Warcraft blog to thank for their continued ability to breathe.

@Matticus: You know you can remove the Blogger bar from Blogger (and it has supposedly been confirmed that it’s okay to do so). I’ve done it on my blog and would recommend it for any blogs whose color scheme doesn’t necessarily match one of the available navigational bars (in and of itself, I don’t find the bar to be an unattractive addition). To do this, simply add “#navbar-iframe {display:none;}” within a pair of style tags after the opening “body” tag. (Putting it into your css directly doesn’t seem to work.)

@Karthis: I know how you feel. I do a lot of my blogging at work so when my schedule gets full, I end up having to cut back a lot.

@Gillir: I sort of wish I’d gone with WordPress to begin with. But really Blogger is so incredibly easy, especially now that I’m getting used to the language to build the templates.

@Vonya: Have you looked to see if there’s a word verification plugin for WordPress? They seem to have just about everything!

I actually started on Blogger. I was frustrated at the lack of customization options, but I’m jealous of the verification blogger offers – spammers are NOT fun.

I use wordpress because a wordpress blog was offered to me through my guild. =]

Now, of course, I couldn’t go on without my beloved blog style. I’ve spent too many hours tweaking it.
