@Someone: I will have to experiment with Cower to see how I like it. At least it would provide some use for Furor!

@Beefonwick: You're welcome!

@Hetzunter: Hey, thanks for the tips! I've made sure to add those above. :-)

Maybe worth to being mentioned:

You can use Nature's Swiftness with Cyclone or (like I do as well) skill 3/3 Control of Nature for not being interreupted while you cast the Cyclone.

In my opinion Barkskin+Cyclone safes us Trees.

Great write up! My main is a 70 BM (BRK FTW!) Hunter but I have a level 53 druid I've been leveling. I recently asked our two guild main tanks (Feral druids) about whether Barkskin applied before shifting into Bear (or Cat) form still mitigates damage and they both said no while in practice I see something entirely different.

Thanks for the insight!

It's been a while since I restoed, but I wouldn't discard Cat+Cower so quickly: in fact, anything you do in bear mode carries a +threat penalty, and now you can even instantly switch between forms, so why not: Cat, Cower, and, if still in danger, Bear, Frenzied Regen, Enrage (if you have 5/5 in Furor, Enrage/Frenzied otherwise).

@Karthis: It seems like a lot of classes think that Bear Form should be our first defense. I think this goes hand in hand with the misperception that Druids can tank/heal/dps/craft all at once. :-)

@Delos: Sounds like you're really skilled at role-switching! You must make a great groupmate. And soon (hopefully), you'll be able to wear mostly leather to instances, making your Boomkin even beefier.

More than a few times, I've had to save the healer as the moonkin when the tank isn't responsive enough. Cyclone is great as you noted but if the tank's not paying attention, it wont last long. DPSing the mob attacking the healer might work if it's early in the fight, but late into a fight-- good luck getting enough dps to outdo all the threat caused by healing. That's when it's bear time. Even though I wear over half cloth while instancing, I'll still drop into bear to get snap aggro on a mob (up to the healer's level), and go rawr-rawr-rawr until the tank comes over. Bonk-bonk-bonk the tank, then back to pew-pew-pew!

I'm had the displeasure of pugging with a resto druid who believed that panic option #1 was bear form..... it's amazing how often you wipe when the main healer suddenly stops healing due to a broken trap, or whatever. Definitely the last resort...
