Meet Morgause. Decidedly undruidly, isn’t she? If you weren’t able to tell from her burly companion and all-too-cliche visage, she’s a Warlock. She’s also my latest level 70 character and my dedicated leather and herb farmer (gg two production tradeskills on Phaelia). So while I may take every opportunity to poke fun at just how OP Warlocks might be are, I must confess I’ve opted to “join them,” at least for brief daliances on the dark side to pick flowers and skin innocent woodland creatures.
And, before you ask, I have no intentions of switching mains. My face gets too tired from rolling across the keyboard to kill things.

In light of the paradigm shift where neither Tailoring or Leatherworking creates Bind on Pickup epics, here’s help deciding between the additional benefits of these two production tradeskills.
LOL they sure are fun though, aren’t they? I always find it extremely therapeutic to DoT stuff and stand there watching the mob writhe in agony till dead with little to no effort on my part.
Ha! I’m doing the same thing for exactly the same reasons with my hunter.
lawlhealerfarming.
*winks*
Love it!
What is your favorite part of playing a Warlock? That’s the only class I’ve enver even tried tog et past 10th, and I’m curious how much fun it is.
B3: I think my favorite thing about Warlocks is their self sufficiency and versatility. Every talent tree is viable and lets you play in a different way. You almost never die and — if you do — you can just pop back up and try again. My one real complaint about the character is having tried to level her up alongside my husband’s Mage while she was specced Affliction. I personally find dotting up one or two mobs and letting them go fun, but it doesn’t work very well with a Mage who keeps stealing your kills just as you’ve completed setting up all 20 of your DoTs. ^_^
Overall, I know there is a ton of untapped potential in the class (untapped by me, not by others), and I’ve been searching for a resource that would help me realize some of that potential. Something along the lines of Egotistical Priest or Priestly Endeavors, but for Warlocks.
Thanks for the comments, all. =)

I’ve actually heard more than one cry for a good warlock blog. I’ve found one or two, but they seem to be pvp oriented.
I’m trying to goad my hubby into making an egotistical warlock blog.
I have thus far been unsuccessful.
I goto wowmb.net for all my warlock needs, whilst its not a blog there is an ungodly amount of information there.
My first char in wow was a warlock unfortunately I stalled my warlock at lvl 42 after getting the pretty horse, as I didn’t feel there was anything else to grind for.
My druid has my heart now anyway, I have to say I am loving this blog
Oo I love my 70 warlock! It’s such a fun break to just be evil and kill things. Good warlocks aren’t that common either, so grouping with one and killing them on the damage meters is like crack to my bloodthirsty soul. Grats on 70!
Oh, just noticed your comment on specs.. Try the DS/SnD spec – it’s 0/21/40 and an *amazing* nuking spec. Depending on your husband’s mage’s gear, you can most likely keep up if not surpass him. It also has great synergy with mages, and you can decide which school of magic to buff yourself in to match the mage you’re with. Armory my warlock if you like to see the spec as I interpret it (her name is Maelise, here on SC) – there are also a couple other variations of it you may find on the warlock forums. Oh and don’t mind her gear – she just made 70 about a week and a half ago so she’s kind of pitiful in that regard. >.>
@Ego: Funny that you’re after your husband to create a Warlock blog. I’m (covertly) after my husband to create a Warrior blog. I don’t see that happening any time soon, though, as he just doesn’t enjoy writing.
@Aftereight: Thank you for the link to wowmb.net! The site seems to provide a lot of useful information. A definite bookmark. And I’m really happy that you are enjoying the blog.
(< see, happy face!)
@Adarel: I levelled Destruction from around 40-50, at which point I switched over to a Felguard spec. I really want to switch back to a deep Affliction build as that was what I enjoyed the most and is most in line with what I think a Warlock should be, but I’m just not sure how raid/instance viable that would be. Thank you for the suggestion, though; I’ll take a look at how you’ve specced your “baby” lock. =)
