Delos of Cenarion Circle has a new Balance blog (Ba-log?) that embraces my most beloved of Moonkin monikers, Laser Chicken! His first content article is about the use of cooldowns (Balance Druids have cooldowns?) in Arenas. Here’s a sample from his post:
Force of Nature: It’s fairly obvious that these should be used whenever the cooldown is up. Extra dps and casting-pushback make these treants very very powerful. I’ve made it a point to open with these, so that I never end an arena smacking my head after I realize I didn’t use them.
I know next to nothing about PvPing as a Balance Druid, so I expect I will have a lot to learn from Delos! Be sure to stop by and make him feel welcome.

I posted this in another area, but I think it should be here too.
“Laser chicken??? That is so undignified for us sophisticated killers. By the way, those things that hang off our feathers are really baby feral tails. We eat them for lunch.”
Waddle Butt is my favorite nick-name btw.
“You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have chickens with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads!”
I wish I ate ferals for lunch
Between shifting out of roots, not being able to get a hibernate off because of shifting, and feral charge interrupt, they are one of the hardest classes for me to kill. Any tips?
Pesce: Oh so “Laser Chicken” is undignified but “Waddle Butt” is the height of distinction? =)
Delos: I’m afraid that I can’t offer much insight into taming the Feral Druid. I typically haven’t had much difficulty Cycloning and Hibernating them in Arenas since they’re often too distracted by the 300 lb. (in armor) Warrior bearing down upon their furry bottoms, but 1-on-1, they definitely eat my lunch. Shifting out of snares FTL … when it’s not me.
As a Balance, beating a feral in 1v1 is easy, and besides beating the snot out of warriors and rogues, is one of the funner things to do. Following is a typical Boomkin – Feral battle. Since pulverizing a feral in cat form is like taking candy from a baby, this sequence is assuming the battle is against a Bear.

Wave to the beast as it dies at your feather coated feet. Clip the tail, and attach to a new broach at your shoulders.
p.s. I luv our quadpedal brethren.
Now, if someone can tell me how to beat a Pally or Priest, I’ll give you one of my Feral tails for good luck.
