It will just be like those mental duels my PvP horny teenage mage always do. To many unknown factors. Though I see it more like a 6 second execute. You apply it so that the target cannot receive healing, new spells and abilities may counter it in WotIK. Though, concerning HoT's you can always make a dispell macro. A Paladin, Shaman, or Priest can simply opt not to heal the person afflicted. But a Druid — who relies upon keeping HoTs stacked on their target for healing — have no control over the fact that the afflicted target is taking incredible damage from her HoTs and must rely upon the person in question to recognize they have the debuff and to quickly remove any and all Heals over Time (especially Lifebloom which will explode in 6 seconds or less).
