When I first started my blog, I thought I was being somewhat original. I wasn’t able to find many regularly-updated blogs related to the druid class (who nerfed my Google-fu?) so I thought I was one of the few around. I have since stumbled onto Ammana’s Adventures in Azeroth (through a link from WoWInsider.com) which has opened my eyes to a plethora of web logs related to the sometimes-furry, sometimes-leafy, sometimes-feathered Druid class:
- Adventures in Azeroth
One of the most extensive, longest-running blogs I’ve found, AIA is World of Warcraft from a feral’s point of view. Features articles on topics ranging from gear to recommended enchants to select UI addons. I’ll be checking this one daily.
- Balance of Power
The only Balance-specific blog I’ve found so far, Balance of Power is just getting started. Be sure to check out Fiordhraoi’s article on “The Essentials of a Balance Druid” for an eye-opening look at some of the talents available within the Balance tree.
- Frostbolt.com
I’m sure there’s a story here somewhere about how a Druid blog ended up named after a Shaman spell (switcher, anyone?), but I haven’t found it yet. Frostbolt includes topics on a wide range of subjects, but there are many about individual high-end raid encounters (Gahlok’s guild is currently exploring Serpentshrine Caverns) from the perspective of a Feral.
- Lake of the Wild
Lake (the blog author) is a Feral who writes primarly about the current goings-on of her guild, Carpe Potentia, and her arena teams, although it may be too soon to tell what direction her blog will eventually take.
- Maimed
Maimed, as one might guess, is a Feral blog. It hasn’t been updated in some time, but the few articles that have been posted may be worth a look, particularly his “Macros” article for some basic ideas of what can be achieved through the macro system.
- Mangle
What’s with all these bloodthirstily-named Feral blogs? I demand one named “Cuddlybear!” Mangle is Isthla’s personal in-game blog, featuring lots of screenshots from her adventures.
- Mark of the Wild
Another one of the great Druid blogs, Mark of the Wild is frequently-updated and features articles on many different topics, some of them personally related to the blog’s author, Sinker, and a few that are more generic. I love the layout.
- Panzerkin
Panzerkin is a Balance blog that was started around the same time as Resto4Life, and it focuses around the viability of using a Moonkin as an offtank!
- Stormrage’s Dreaming
Azeroth from the perspective of a Druid, Shaman, and Paladin (hybrid much?). Features a smattering of information, news, and a few guides. I’d love to see more from him about comparisons between the three classes since all three can perform similar roles.
- Tangedyn’s Druid Page
A player that is well-informed on changes made to the druid class, Tangedyn is probably best known for his extensive work compiling gear lists for cats and bears. His blog hasn’t been updated in quite some time, unfortunately.
- Tanuviel’s Casual Adventures
Self-described as “A free-style blog on World of Warcraft,” TCA includes articles on a diverse set of topics ranging from levelling guides to game mechanics. Aspiring Ferals should be sure to check out her article on “Primary Attributes for the Feral Fighter”.
You can see a complete list of all the Druid Blogs I’ve found on the right sidebar. And if you have any to recommend or request that I add, please feel free to leave a comment.
