I think what bothers me the most is that an “out of combat resurrection” spell is something that has no effect on whether any given combat will be succesful. It is obviously a purely arbitrary limitation in place to make a druid less desirable with no regard to game “balance.” It’s very sad that the class who was listed as one of the two “Primary Healers” at release is less appropriate as an instance main healer than the two who were considered “secondary.” (Paladins and Shamans)

I weep copious amounts of sap over this issue and am thankful that I have close enough friends and guildmates that are willing to overlook this shortcoming.

I would agree with you, how are we to compete with other healing classes whom we are mostly on the same level as if we don’t all have similar tools?

While I understand the need for class diversity, no amount of skill will save someone else from doing something that will end up with us having to res them. What do we do then, shrug and ask them to hang out for 30 minutes or run back?

Druids are amazing healers and if our itemization and “social norms” dictate that we heal most of the time, perhaps its time to give us -all- of a healer’s tools instead of just most of them.
